Mihael Jeklic is an Assistant Professor and the Director of Professional Skills at King’s College London, School of Law. Before joining academia, he spent 10 years as a banker in the City of London, specializing in private equity and real estate sectors, leading teams that invested proprietary funds in debt, mezzanine, and equity instruments. Following his banking career, he served as a consultant advising on the privatization of government banking assets, including conflict management, negotiation strategy, and financial structuring.
At King’s College London, Mihael teaches undergraduate, graduate, and executive modules on decision-making and negotiation. His academic research focuses on the cognitive psychology of negotiation and strategic decision-making. Current projects include research on confirmatory processing and debiasing techniques in strategic decision-making, and problem-solving optimization strategies in multi-issue negotiation.
He has taught negotiation and decision-making for over 15 years at a number universities including University College London, Queen Mary, Catholic University Lisbon, BMI, King’s Business School, and Ecole Polytechnique, as well as provided in-house training to global law firms, consulting firms, and an oil major.
Mihael has a law degree from Harvard Law School and a PhD in cognitive psychology from UCL.
